The four-day Punjab tenth theatre festival concluded on Friday.
Organised by the theatre person and Kuchi-muchi film acting academy saw plays presented from various art groups. A total of four plays were presented.
The brain behind the festival famous Punjabi actor Anita Devgan said “This year, the idea is to create awareness about the Punjabi theatre.
“We have included various classic plays depicting the culture of the Punjab as well narrating various social themes impacting the state.”
“We want people to know the culture as well theatre of Punjab,” said Anita, who herself performed a play named ‘credit card’, with her actor –husband Hardeep Gill based on the lives of Punjab-origin settled in aboard and their lives after a long time.
The festival featured plays named ‘asi ann data hone aan’, ‘Delhi road tey ek hadsa’, ‘Ishq remix’ and others
Talking more about the festival Devgan added, “The response has been good so far. The play would start at 6.00 pm, and we wanted to promote Punjabi art. This is our tenth theatre festival.”
