The students and teachers, on the occasion, read various authors for 45 minutes. ‘One Nation Reading Together’ is a nationwide campaign launched by Scholastic India in the first week of November.

Scholastic India has been encouraging schools and their students across the country to join the campaign — where children can spend more than 30 minutes reading books — with an aim to make reading fun and fostering good reading habits among the children.

Spring Dale Senior School principal Rajiv Kumar Sharma said, “This activity will help inculcate a habit of reading in the children, which is the need of the hour. ‘One Nation Reading Together’ is a nationwide initiative in which millions of children, parents and teachers across the country spend a day celebrating the importance and enjoyment of reading.”
