500-gm heroin seized, one arrested

Moga police have arrested Gurjinder Singh, a resident of Daulewal village with 500-gm heroin. He and his accomplice were, one Veerpal Kaur, were nabbed when they were selling the contraband at the village cremation ground. However, Kaur managed to flee from the spot.

Satpal Singh, in-charge of narcotics and drug cell, Moga, said that a special team conducted the raid on a tip-off. He claimed the seized drug was worth Rs 2 crore.
