The child had been missing from August 2 and was found in Ludhiana, from where he was shifted to a children's home in Mohali. The child disclosed that he was a resident of Abohar in Fazilka district and was reportedly shifted to a children's home in Bathinda.

"Prince was handed over to his parents by the child welfare authorities on Tuesday. I appeal to all parents to have their children memorise their address and phone numbers," said Basant Garg, DC Bathinda.
The child is a resident of Balmik colony on Bathinda road, Jaitu, and his father is a labourer.

"The child went missing after he was sent to a nearby shop with Rs 20. He bought something for himself for `5 and then fearing his father's anger, left his house. Police had registered a report on August 3. The local social organisations were also on the lookout for the child," a source said.
