At a meeting held here on Tuesday, representatives of CPI-ML (liberation), CPI-ML (new democracy), CPI-ML (redstar), CPM Punjab (Pasla), MCPI (united), Aam Aadmi Party and Charcha Vichar Manch have decided to hold a convention on August 9 here to make the people aware of wrong policies of the central government.

Kiranjit Singh Sekhon of the MCPI said that the meeting condemned Prime Minister Narendra Modi for forgetting his promise of brining ‘achhe din’. “In the past two months, the Modi government has failed to bring ‘achhe din’, but due to hike in railway fare, diesel and LPG prices, the ‘aam aadmi was facing bad days.” Leaders also condemned the union government’s approval to foreign direct investment (FDI) in insurance and defence sectors, he added.
