Accompanied by a large number of area residents, Kulvir, of Dashmesh Nagar in Maur, had surrendered before the cops in his town on Tuesday. He was brought to the CIA-I office here, where police questioned him, under Section 160 (any police officer making an investigation, by order in writing, require the attendance before himself of any person) of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC), till late Wednesday evening.

Bathinda senior superintendent of police (SSP) Swapan Sharma said Kulvir revealed where he was hiding when cops were looking for him after the blasts, and cops were verifying the details. “He might be called for questioning again,” said the SSP.

Kulvir’s sister-in-law Karamjit Kaur said Kulvir will join the investigation again whenever he is asked to.

Kulvir was earlier booked in three cases for alleged unlawful activities and under the Arms Act and was acquitted in all these cases in 2013.
