A suspected case of swine flu reported in Faridkot

A case of suspected swine flu was reported at Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital here on Friday. The suspected patient, a 58-year-old woman of an adjoining village, is under treatment in an isolated ward of the hospital.

A case of suspected swine flu was reported at Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital here on Friday. The suspected patient, a 58-year-old woman of an adjoining village, is under treatment in an isolated ward of the hospital.

The blood sample of the suspected patient has been sent to the department of virology, PGIMER, Chandigarh. The suspected patient is under the supervision of TB and chest department.

"This is only one case of suspected swine flu reported from the district and the report is awaited," confirmed Dr Mohinder Singh Jassal, civil surgeon, Faridkot.
