Addressing a press conference after a meeting of party's Kangra unit, AAP national observers Sandeep Bisht and Anup Singh said that while the party has no intentions to enter into pre- poll alliance, like-minded parties were welcome to join them, putting to rest all rumours of a possible tie up between AAP and Himachal Lokhit Party (HLP).

On the merger of the two partyies, Bisht said the leadership of the two parties had discussed such a possibility but no response has come from HLP so far. Denying that Kangra MP Rajan Sushant had approached them for conetsting on the party's ticket, they said, “nybody willing to join AAP is welcome but till now Sushant hasn't approached us. We will also verify the credentials of those who have left their party and joining AAP”. The leaders also claimed that party's membership in Himachal has touched the 80000 mark as per data up to January 26.

“The data is only of the offline members. That of volunteers joining online is yet to be released. It would certainly cross one lakh,” said Bisht.
