Police recovered a Class 11 girl student with two of his alleged abductors from Hassu village in district Sirsa on the Punjab and Haryana border on Friday.
However, when produced before court, the girl refused to go with her parents.
The arrested accused, Jaswinder Singh and Iqbal Singh, residents of Patti Heera Singh village, under Nihal Singh Walal sub-division, have been remanded in police custody for two days.
On the girl's reluctance to accompany her parents, the court finally ordered that she be sent to the Nari Niketan at Jalandher till further orders.
Moga SSP Kamaljeet Singh Dhillon claimed that the girl was being forcible abducted.
Five people including Harwinder Singh and Iqbal Singh, and three unidentified people, all residents of Patto Heera Singh village had been booked under Sections 363 (kidnapping), 366-A (compelling women to marriage), 354 (assaulting or using criminal force on woman), 120-B (criminal conspiracy), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 34 (act done by several people in furtherance of common intention).
The police, however, is yet to recover the service gun of the security guard of the hospital, which was also snatched by the miscreants.
"Harwinder Singh, 25 and his accompanies had threatened the victim's family members of dire consequences, if she did not agree to marry Harwinder. On refusal, the girl was abducted," claimed the SSP.
