Accused's kin ask SIT to give polygraph test report

Members of the panchayat of Asan village from where the accused in the Sonepat sisters' case hail have asked the special investigation team (SIT) to give details of the reports of the lie-detector test conducted on the accused and the complainant sisters.

Members of the panchayat of Asan village from where the accused in the Sonepat sisters' case hail have asked the special investigation team (SIT) to give details of the reports of the lie-detector test conducted on the accused and the complainant sisters.

They panchayat members on Saturday met SIT in-charge deputy superintendent of police Yashpal Khatana and sought details of the polygraph test conducted on accused Kuldeep, Mohit and Deepak and sisters Pooja and Aarti in connection with the November-28 alleged molestation case.

In a memorandum to the SIT DSP, the kin of the accused boys, who were booked for molesting the sisters, accused the police of conducting a shoddy investigation in a related as they have not been able to get the results of the report.

Following the consent of the accused and the complainant sisters, the SIT with the court's permission had got a lie-detector test conducted on them at forensic laboratory of the Central Bureau of Investigation, New Delhi, a fortnight ago.

They also threatened to launch an agitation if police failed to lodge a counter FIR against the girls on basis of affidavits submitted by several people in support of the accused.
