Addressing mediapersons in the parliamentary segment of chief minister Virbhadra Singh’s wife Pratibha Singh, Dhumal claimed, “The HPCA has created the international stadium by its own efforts, bringing the state’s name to the attention of the world and encouraging self- employment for hundreds of locals in the tourism industry.”

Terming Virbhadra “reluctant” towards development of sports in the state, Dhumal accused him of doing nothing to help in the promotion of sports.

Taking a dig at the CM over the apple orchard row, the Bharatiya Janata Party leader asked Virbhadra to explain how his income increased rapidly from lakhs to crores through apple production.

Alleging that the Congress government’s policies were “anti-people”, he alleged that the Congress regime had “only increased the worries of people and made their life miserable”.

“The Congress has cheated the youths of the state by making false promises of providing unemployment allowance, but nobody in the state has received any benefits,” he alleged.

“In the BJP regime, we had provided food grains, pulses and oil to each ration card holder on subsidised rates in government-run depot in the state, but the present state government has failed to do so,” he added.
