AIIMS entrance: Aarushi is tricity topper with rank 10

The results for entrance test to undergraduate medical courses at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) were declared on Tuesday evening.

The results for entrance test to undergraduate medical courses at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) were declared on Tuesday evening.

With the website crashing and going down for hours, results were difficult to get, but Aarushi with All-India Rank (AIR) 10 emerged as the tricity topper, followed by Japnoor Kaur with AIR 32.

Tanish Modi and Mukund Garg also featured in top 100 AIR with AIRs 68 and 69, respectively.

Aarushi, a student of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 19, could not contain her happiness. Chander Kiran, her mother said, “I am really happy with my daughter’s success. She has always been an outstanding student and scored well in Classes 10 and 12 as well. She always wanted to be a doctor and has worked towards her aim diligently.”

The online computer-based test was conducted in two shifts on May 29 across 171 cities in the country.

There was no centre in Chandigarh or Panchkula and students had to opt for nearby centres at SAS Nagar, Banur, Ropar, Baddi, Patiala and Ambala.
