Amogh division commandant distributes computers to border-area schools

A new chapter was added to civil-military cooperation in the town when the commandant of the Amogh division distributed 20 computers with accessories to the principals of two schools at Maan Singh Wala and Udekaran villages.

A new chapter was added to civil-military cooperation in the town when the commandant of the Amogh division distributed 20 computers with accessories to the principals of two schools at Maan Singh Wala and Udekaran villages.

The army has continuously been working for IT awareness in villages of Muktsar and these computers have been sponsored by the army and the Infosys Technologies.

Speaking on the occasion, Amogh Gunners commandant said, "Children are the future of the nation. However, children in these rural areas do not have the facilities to face the present-day challenges."

"The gesture will open various avenues of opportunity for children of these areas towards enhancing computer awareness and encourage students to derive maximum benefit from the project," said the commandant.

The local civil administration, parents and children conveyed their deep gratitude to the army for providing the computers.
