Another Punjabi man murdered in Philippines

A 38-year-old man hailing from Moga district was shot dead at Manila in Philippines. The deceased was identified as Sukhdev Singh Jaggu of Mehna village. He was working as an agent at a finance company in Manila city.

A 38-year-old man hailing from Moga district was shot dead at Manila in Philippines. The deceased was identified as Sukhdev Singh Jaggu of Mehna village. He was working as an agent at a finance company in Manila city.


A pall of gloom descended over Mehna village on Monday evening after Jaggu's cousin from Phillipines informed his parents over the phone about the tragic incident.

As per reports, he was shot dead by a few assailants outside Manila city while he was travelling on a highway.

Village sarpanch said that Jaggu was cremated by his close relatives at Manila on Tuesday.
Jaggu is succeeded by his two daughters and a little son.

Ujagar Singh, father of the deceased was heartbroken since he didn't even get to see his son's dead body. Jaggu had gone to Phillipines around twelve years ago. "I could not see my son during the last moments of his life. I cannot explain my sorrow," said Ujagar Singh.

Jaggu's wife Jaspreet Kaur was inconsolable. "When my husband took flight to Manila on a work-permit, I thought our financial problems would now come to an end as my husband was very hard working. But fate had something else in store for me and my three little children," said Jaspreet.
