The groups of anti-sikh riot victims indulged in a hard talk over giving support to Shiromani Akali Dal-Bharatiya Janata Party (SAD-BJP) alliance during a press conference called for announcing their stand here on Wednesday.

While one of the groups had announced that the anti-sikh riot victims would support SAD-BJP alliance on all 13 Lok Sabha seats of Punjab, another group was adamant to support Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate from
Amritsar Bibi Jagdish Kaur, who was a witness of the anti-sikh riots.
Later, both groups unanimously decided that they would support Bibi Jagdish Kaur from Amritsar and 12 Lok Sabha candidates of SAD-BJP from other constituencies.
1986 Anti-Sikh Riot Victims' Welfare Society president Surjit Singh and Gurdeep Kaur held a press conference on Wednesday to clear their stand in Lok Sabha elections. As the office bearers announced that they would support all SAD-BJP candidates, Gurdeep Singh Kahlon and some other riot victims raised objection and put forward their point. Both groups entered in a heated argument over the issue.
The office bearers of society said AAP candidate advocate HS Phoolka had pursued the cases of anti-sikh riot victims, but he was paid for it. The SAD had honoured him for it, but the riot victims did not get justice till date.
