ASI, constable caught taking bribe

Haryana vigilance bureau has caught assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Suwa Ram, posted at Mujesar in Faridabad district red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000 from Sonu, also a resident of Faridabad for not involving his parents in a criminal case.

A spokesperson for the bureau said on Wednesday that in another case, the bureau team caught head constable Sanjay Kumar posted at Iffco Chowk in Gurgaon while taking a bribe of Rs 3,000 from Kunwar Pal, a resident of Uttar Pradesh for allowing him to run his kiosk.

Stating that cases had been registered against them, he said further investigation in the cases was in progress.
