Bathinda continues to shiver at 0.2 °C

Enveloped by cold waves the region continues to shiver as Bathinda records minimum temperature of 0.2 degrees Celsius. Though sun did show its presence and dogged the thick fog, however cold waves continued to sweep the region.

Though sun did show its presence and dogged the thick fog, however cold waves continued to sweep the region.

Chandigarh continued to be gripped in intense cold waves as it recorded a minimum temperature of 1.9 degrees Celsius.

The Himalayan region continued with plummeting mercury as Leh recorded a low of -17.8 degrees Celsius, followed by Srinagar which recorded a minimum temperature of -6.4 degrees Celsius.

In the plains amid cold waves and fog cover Adampur recorded a minimum temperature of 1.8 degrees Celsius, and Ambala a low of 2.0 degrees Celsius.

Normal life was derailed by the icy cold waves as the holy shrine cities Amritsar and Jammu recorded minimum temperature of 4.0 degrees Celsius and 4.5 degrees Celsius.

Engulfed in fog the railway traffic was hit as trains continued their late arrivals keeping passengers waiting for more than a day. Sachkhand Express was delayed by 25 hours 6 minutes and Chattisgarh Express by 4 hours 44 minutes.
