Her first stop was Begowal, where she decided to elect the president and the vice-president. In the proceedings, conducted in peaceful manner, Anoop Singh (ward no. 4) was elected as the president and Sukhjinder Kaur (ward no. 1) was elected as the vice-president of the nagar panchayat.

At 1 pm, Bibi reached the nagar panchayat office at Bholath. The 13-member nagar panchayat has six members from SAD and six Congress-backed independent members. The lone independent had shifted loyalty to the Congress a few days back. However, the other councillors boycotted the proceedings.

She announced the name of Joginder Pal Marwaha (ward no. 4) as president and Sukhwant Singh Takhar, an SAD supported independent councillor from ward no. 9, as the vice-president in the presence of Kapurthala SDM Kuldeep Singh Chandi.
