Bosch setting up solar power plants in Haryana, AP

Global component supplier Bosch Ltd,the flagship company of Bosch Group, which forayed into the energy sector in 2011 today announced the setting up of power plants in Andhra Pradesh and Haryana strengthening its foothold.

Global component supplier Bosch Ltd,the flagship company of Bosch Group, which forayed into the energy sector in 2011 today announced the setting up of power plants in Andhra Pradesh and Haryana strengthening its foothold.

However, the company did not disclose the value of the project coming up in the two states in a statement issued here.

"(Bosch) team is currently in the process of commissioning two projects of one mega watt each in Andhra Pradesh and Haryana...," Bosch Ltd said in a statement.

Bosch Ltd in 2011, marked its entry into the energy portfolio and has been offering quality products and solutions through installation of smaller solar capacity projects on roofs of industries and hotels.

Meanwhile, the company has commissioned a five mega watt power plant in Tamil Nadu in which the power produced will be sold to third-party consumers.

"Bosch Ltd commissioned a five megawatt solar power plant in Tamil Nadu for its customer Sri Vinayaga Green Power Generation Pvt Ltd," the statement said.

"The plant is expected to produce close to 7.6 million units a year and the generated power would be sold to third-party power consumers," it said.

In the last two years, the company developed several roof- top installations ranging from 25kWp to 200 kWp capacity across India, the statement added.

Bosch Group in India employs around 26,000 associates. The company generated consolidated revenue of nearly Rs 13,200 crore in 2013.
