BSF plays ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ to 5-year-old Pak girl

As in the Bollywood movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan, a 5-year-old deaf and dumb minor girl from Pakistan, inadvertently crossed over to the Indian territory on Saturday and the sleuths of the Border Security Force (BSF) handed over her to their counterparts across the border in Abohar, a sub-division of Fazilka district.

As in the Bollywood movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan, a 5-year-old deaf and dumb minor girl from Pakistan inadvertently crossed over to the Indian territory on Saturday and the sleuths of the Border Security Force (BSF) handed over her to their counterparts across the border in Abohar, a sub-division of Fazilka district.

During questioning, the Pakistani girl was was found to be deaf and dumb and could not reveal her name and whereabouts. Pakistan Rangers were immediately contacted and the girl was handed over to them at 2 pm. (HT Photo)

At about 1030AM, troops of the 117 Battalion of the BSF at Natha Singh Wala Border Outpost in the Abohar Sector apprehended the girl from inside the Indian territory near the fence, said a press release issued by the BSF.

During questioning, the Pakistani girl was found to be deaf and dumb and could not reveal her name and whereabouts. Pakistan Rangers were immediately contacted and the girl was handed over to them at 2PM.
