Border Security Force personnel, on Wednesday, claimed to have recovered 1-kg heroin and three Pakistani SIM cards from near the JR Hithar border outpost manned by the 137 Battalion.

A sentry of the outpost observed suspicious movement near the border following which a search operation of the area was carried out at about 1.30 pm. During search of the area, the BSF party recovered one yellow packet buried in a wheat field near the border.

The packet contained 1-kg contraband, suspected to be heroin, and 3 Pakistsni SIM cards of the Zong company), said a BSF official.
