The accused has been identified as Vijay Preet Singh of Canada.

The case was registered following the complaint of his second wife, a resident of Khera village.

The police have also booked Vijay Preet’s brother Mandeep Singh, father Balwinder Singh and mother Rachhpal Kaur of Chhapar.

The complainant, a resident of Khera village, is a doctor by profession.

In her complaint t the police on January 1, she told that she got married to a Canada-based doctor in January 2015. But, at that time, Vijay Preet concealed the fact that he was already married to a woman in Canada. Meanwhile, his second wife came to know about this. When she resisted, the accused threatened her with dire consequences. She also alleged that the accused had forcibly established physical relations with her.

The victim also alleged that parents of the accused were aware about the fact that their son was already married, but they not only concealed the things, but also solemnised his second marriage.
