As Majithia entered polling booth number 32 to cast his vote and was standing in the queue, there was some buzz outside. Soon, news spread that Amarinder had arrived.

Sitting inside his car, Amarinder was reportedly upset at Majithia's presence, but cooled down when told that the minister was there to cast his vote. At this, Amarinder came in, and people feared a harsh exchange of words.

But taking them by surprise, as soon as Amarinder reached near Majithia, who was standing in queue, the minister said, "Chacha-ji ki haal hai? (How are you, uncle?)" Amarinder replied with a smile: "I am fine."

They shook hands and were seen having a chat and Amarinder patted the shoulder of Majithia before entering the booth as Majithia was still in the queue.

When Amarinder was on his way out, he told the media, "He enquired about my well-being and I asked about his. Hor ki gall honi si? (What else was supposed to happen?)" Bikram too termed it as "nice" meeting saying, "We exchanged pleasantries."
