Referring to Lok Sabha candidate Captain Amarinder Singh’s issuing statements against Congress colleagues, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Kamal Sharma wondered here on Thursday how a man not true to own party be faithful to the people of Amritsar.

He said Amarinder had even criticised Congress president Sonia Gandhi and written to her that Pratap Singh Bajwa (now state Congress president) had links with drug smugglers and terrorists. “He has levelled charges against many other Congress legislators. How can a man who insults own colleagues be faithful to the city he hopes to represent,” Sharma said.
