Central Board of Secondary Education has a channel on You Tube: www.youtube.com/cbsechannel dedicated to the various activities conducted by the Board and its affiliated schools.
The affiliated schools can send in their videos to be uploaded on the CBSE Channel. These videos can be short films, role plays, talks, discussions, debates, presentations or other such activities based on themes like health and wellness, gender sensitivity, community outreach, life skills, values education, heritage, disaster management, social issues, environmental issues and concerns and innovative teaching learning methodologies.
Talking to Hindustan Times, RJ Khanderao, CBSE Regional head, Panchkula, said, “Nowadays everything is available online. So the board decided that schools should be given a platform where they can upload short films, role plays, debates etc online. So cbse is on you tube, now schools can upload the activities conducted in schools on various themes online.”
The videos, along with its short description (not exceeding 45 words), can be mailed to cbsechannel@gmail.com before March 31, 2013 and a copy can also be sent (in a pen drive/CD), addressed to - Director (Academics, Research, Training and Innovation) Central Board of Secondary Education Shiksha Sadan, 17, Rouse Avenue, Institutional Area, Delhi – 110002.
However, while sending the videos, the schools must keep in mind that the video should be using one of the following formats-MOV, MPEG4, AVI and WMV, the Length of the video should not exceed 10 minutes.
It should be well edited and aptly titled. By submitting the content to the Board, it reserves the right to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, publish, adapt, make available online or electronically transmit some or part of it in any form. It should not contain any third party copyrighted material, or material that is subject to other third party proprietary rights. The content of the video should not be objectionable in any manner, and should not hurt the emotions and sentiments of any community, region, religion, gender, caste or creed.
The selected videos will be uploaded on the CBSE channel on YouTube.
