The lengthy accounts exam of Class 12 of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) upset the students of Chandigarh on Thursday as they were not able to attempt the whole paper.
HT covered several schools of the city and found similar reactions of the students. Most of them were unhappy with the exam as it had difficult calculations. They observed, too many journal entries made the paper lengthier.
Rahul Kumar, a student of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 8, said Section A, in particular, had tough calculations for just one mark questions.
Amrinder Singh of Guru Nanak Public School, Sector 36 said, “Although the exam lacked tricky questions, the calculations were very difficult. It took me more time to cover 3 marks questions due to which I was not able to complete my paper in time”, he added.
“For me, the exam was easy but it was bit lengthy as we needed to draw formats for journal entries and since the entries were over the number than it was expected, it consumed our crucial minutes,” said Arshdeep Kaur from Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa Senior Secondary School, Sector 35.
