Chd-Amritsar Super-fast Express to halt at Sirhind

The Northern railways on Saturday has announced that the Chandigarh-Amritsar Superfast Express will halt at Sirhind junction for 20 minutes. Chief public relations officer Neeraj Sharma said: "The train will reach Sirhind station at 7.50 pm while in the return direction; the Amritsar- Chandigarh Superfast express train will reach Sirhind station at 8.15 am from February 9."

He said other trains which would have an additional stoppage include Saharsa- Amritsar- Saharsa Garib Rath Express (train no.12203/12204) at Hardoi, Jodhpur- Delhi Sarai Rohilla- Jodhpur bi- weekly express (22481/22482) at Khatu and Delhi Junction Amb Andaura- Delhi Junction Himachal express (14553/14554) at Ganaur stations.

"The trains will have stoppages on an experimental basis for six months," said Sharma. He added that the other features like timings, route and composition of all the trains would remain unchanged.

"The Saharsa- Amritsar Garib Rath express train will reach Hardoi station at 7.34 am and in the return direction, the train will reach Hardoi station at 5.06 pm from February 15, with one minute stoppage in both the directions. The Jodhpur- Delhi Sarai Rohilla bi-weekly express train will reach Khatu station at 9.25pm and in the return at 6.04 am from February 13 with a two-minute stoppage in both directions."
