President of the NGO Col (retd) Jagdish Singh Brar said, “We have seen many people ignoring their health because they don't have money to consult the doctor. So, we came up with an idea to open a free dispensary and now it has been materialised.”

“The doctors providing free voluntary service at the dispensary are Dr Sandeep Singh, surgeon at Government Hospital Jagraon; Dr Mandeep Singh, MS ortho at Civil Hospital Raikot; Dr Surinder, MD medicine and Dr Daljeet Sharma, BHMS,” he added.

The dispensary is located in Sunet, popularly known as Sunet village. The area has a large population of migrants living in. The area is surrounded by a posh area like BRS Nagar but had no government medical facility nearby and this dispensary will now act as doorstep medical facility at no cost and convenient time for the migrant labourers.
