Clerk arrested for taking bribe

Haryana vigilance bureau has caught one Devinder Singh, working as clerk in the land acquisition office, HUDA, Hisar, red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 3,000 from one Darshan Singh, a resident of Sirsa, in lieu of helping him in a case of land acquisition.

While stating this here on Monday, a spokesman of the bureau said that a case under sections 7/13/49/88 of Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against the accused in Bureau's police station at Hisar. Further investigation is in progress.
