Only the decimation of the Congress could save the nation and now the voters of Moga had a chance to contribute to that, the deputy CM said in each of his addresses here on Wednesday during the local assembly byelection campaign. "(State Congress president) Captain Amrinder Singh and his coterie failed to city any development project they had brought to Moga during the Congress regime," Sukhbir added.

On the penultimate day of the campaign, Sukhbir addressed a number of rallies in favour of party candidate Joginder Pal Jain. The beleaguered Congress had stooped to ordering its legislators in the non-Congress states to not let the respective governments do any development work in their areas, said the SAD president. Its plan was to turn the non-development of those areas into future negative election campaigns, he added.
