This portion of the road houses two banks, an insurance company, YP Towers, Easy Day Mall, dhabas, sweet shops, cooperative societies' office, a government orphanage, medical stores, two private hospitals, big showrooms, the biggest gurdwara of the town, a senior secondary school and a saw mill.

Apart from the school, none of the commercial establishments or other institutions have made any provision for parking. This road leads to several private schools, the district courts, central jail, two marriage palaces, Canal Colony and an improvement trust colony, besides 150 villages, before it joins the GT Road near Dinanagar.

The traffic police are finding it difficult to regulate traffic on this small stretch. The road is so congested during the rush hours that even pedestrians are put to inconvenience.
