Constable dies under mysterious circumstances

A 22-year-old Punjab Police constable died under mysterious circumstances in a resort on Chintpurni road on Thursday. Officials said he died of heart attack. Lovedeep Singh, who was deployed with Jalandhar (rural) police, was on special duty at Chohal due to the Mata Chintpurni fair.

Another personnel, who was on duty at the same spot, said Lovedeep had gone to the resort to take rest as he was feeling unwell. His body was taken to the civil hospital where the post-mortem was conducted. He belonged to Gurdaspur district.
