A day after the broad daylight firing in Amritsar, the city police have failed to arrest even a single suspect in the case. The shooting had occurred during a clash between men of two rival liquor contractors on the National Highway along Ranjit Avenue.

Four persons were injured, after which police registered a case against seven accused.

Civil Lines SHO inspector Sanjeev Kumar said, "We are conducting raids to nab the suspects. Till now, no arrest has been made but we are trying our best." Notably, police have failed to control firing incidents in the city, especially between supporters of rival liquor contractors.
