Couple among six booked for cheating

The district police have booked six people, including a couple, for allegedly cheating a person on the pretext of installing a mobile tower in his premises.

The district police have booked six people, including a couple, for allegedly cheating a person on the pretext of installing a mobile tower in his premises.

Based on a complaint by Amin Sharma, a resident of Surakhpir road in Bathinda, the police have booked Pratipa and her husband Rajinder Kumar from Rani Bagh in New Delhi, Sadanand from Uttar Pradesh, Vinod Kumar from Rajasthan, Ajay Sharma from Karnal in Haryana and Navreet Kaur from Amritsar.

Sharma alleged that the accused had taken Rs 1.11 lakh from him assuring that they will get installed a mobile phone tower on his land, which was not done. A case under section 420 of IPC has been registered against all the accused.
