Accused Rizwan and Taslim were declared most wanted by the police. They were arrested from Shijarasi village in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, by the Karnal police on Friday.

A local court on Saturday sent the accused to three-day police remand to allow further investigation in the double murder case.

Deputy superintendent of police Joginder Rathee said on Saturday that on the intervening night of January 16 and 17, 2013, Mannu Mahant, Koyal (both eunuchs) and 'dholak' master Ranjeet suffered grave burn injuries while they were sleeping at their house at Kachhawa village near Karnal city.

While eunuch Mannu Mahant and Ranjit died during treatment, Koyal suffered serious burn injuries.

"Rizwan and Taslim had worked briefly with the group of the Karnal-based eunuch leader Mannu Mahant and they hatched a conspiracy to grab the valuables of the group. The accused had released gas from an LPG cylinder into the room where the victims were sleeping and set the room on fire," said Rathee.
