Cycle rally to be held on October 2

The United Cycle and Parts Manufacturer Association (UCPMA) will hold a cycle rally on October 2.The cycle rally, which will kick off at 5.30 am from UCPMA office up to Alamgir Gurudwara, will be monitored by the UCPMA president Charanjit Singh Vishivkarma, who had done all the arrangements for the rally.

The United Cycle and Parts Manufacturer Association (UCPMA) will hold a cycle rally on October 2.The cycle rally, which will kick off at 5.30 am from UCPMA office up to Alamgir Gurudwara, will be monitored by the UCPMA president Charanjit Singh Vishivkarma, who had done all the arrangements for the rally.

The rally, which is being done for promotion of cycling and health consciousness, will be held under the banner of 'UCPMA cycling club'.
T-shirts bearing the name of the club will also be provided to the participants who could register themselves with the club and take part in the rally.

Vishivkarma said the cycle rally was organised to create awareness among residents that cycling was the best way to save environment and remain fit. “People should do cycling every day because this was the best way to remain fit,” he said.

He said businessmen from the cycle industry should come forward to promote cycling in Ludhiana. “Cycle industry is the mother industry of Punjab with its base in Ludhiana. It should be our responsibility to promote it,” Vishivkarma said.
