The family rushed Rajveer Singh to the local civil hospital where he died. The victim owned four acres of land and had taken six acres on lease to grow cotton, which was destroyed in the pest attack.

BKU (Ekta-Ugrahan) district president Shingara Singh Mann said the family should be given Rs 10 lakh in compensation besides a government job.
