Dense fog hits train services

As cold wave and dense fog continued to lash North India, trains remained disrupted and passengers were left hassled on the Ludhiana railway station on Tuesday.

As cold wave and dense fog continued to lash North India, trains remained disrupted and passengers were left hassled on the Ludhiana railway station on Tuesday.


Most of the long-route trains were delayed by about 10 hours, due to which passengers were left stranded and shivering in cold on the platforms.

Sachkhand Express was reported running late by 22 hours, Saryu Yamuna Express, also known as Shaheed Express, was delayed by 12 hours, Amarpali Express was delayed by seven hours and Malwa Express was delayed by four hours.

The platforms of the railway station seemed packed to its capacity with passengers waiting out in the cold for their trains.
