Dera Sacha follower manhandled

A follower of Dera Sacha Sauda was manhandled on Sunday in Jakhapal village for taking Guru Granth Sahib to perform wedding rituals of his daughter. The victim has been identified as Ram Singh.

As per the FIR registered, Ram alleged that Pargat Singh and some other villagers on Sunday afternoon thrashed him after intercepting his motorcycle on the peripheral road of the village.

He alleged that a few months ago, there was commotion in the village after the suspects restricted him from taking Guru Granth Sahib to his house.

Ram told the police that suspect Pargat wanted an apology from him before the villagers.
