The orders were passed by the secretary on May 7 and even after five days the district education of ficer has failed to shift the students to the other school.

The secretary in her orders had stated that as per the report from Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, the condition of the school was not up to the mark as ground floor level of the school was lower than the road level, due to which, she had stated that “the water gets accumulated in classrooms during rains.”

Besides headmistress office, out of total five classrooms, three were declared unsafe. The wooden roof was being destroyed by the termites.

Citing all these reasons, the education secretary had directed the district education of ficer, secondary, Ludhiana, to shift students to Government Senior Secondary School, Kundanpuri, for some time. The classes will run during the evening time.

Headmistress Pushpinder Pal Kaur, said, “We have not received any orders to shift the students yet and the classes are being run properly.”

Despite repeated attempts, officiating DEO Charanjit Singh was not available for comments.
