Despite having proper infrastructure, including hi-tech computers, televisions, smart classrooms and round-the-clock internet facility, only a few private schools broadcasted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech on the occasion of Teacher's Day on Friday.
At BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, students of kindergarten section were exempted from the PM's speech. Talking to Hindustan Times, Paramjit Kaur, principal, said, "Kindergarten section students are too small to understand the speech. However, senior students along with teachers were given the opportunity to listen to the PM's speech."
Sister Chantal, principal, Sacred Heart Convent School, Sarabha Nagar, said, "We have recorded the speech that will be broadcasted on Saturday on the school campus. Students of Classes 9,10 and 11 were able to listen to the speech in the school auditorium."
Mona Singh, principal, Guru Nanak Public School, Sarabha Nagar, said, "Most of the parents were not willing to send their children to the school on the Teacher's Day so we decided to broadcast the speech in the school hostel."
