Protesters alleged that most singers had simply let go of any rationale for the choice of lyrics in their songs, but these were having a very negative impact on the younger generation.
They claimed that there was a definite link between the rising incidents of crime and these songs. They also alleged that such cheap songs were bringing a very bad name to the state and demanded a stringent law to stop such songs to come into market.
