Dhindsa said, “Corrective measures have been put in place and a three-member committee has also been formed so that the party (SAD) could again rise during the coming 2017 assembly polls in Punjab. Hype was created across the country in favour of AAP. But the party was not able to perform in rest of the country, but Punjab.”

He said that the three-member committee would look into the weaknesses of the party that caused defeat of the coalition in the state. He said, “As of now there is an NDA government, which also constitutes SAD, it will be very easy to get funds for Punjab for the development of all sectors.”

Dhindsa had come to attend a programme organised at Guru Nanak Dev Bhawan. The programme was conducted by trading and consultancy organisation Sun Group in association with Markfed.

Speaking on the occasion, Dhindsa stressed on the need of skill development for the youth in Punjab, adding that the government would give full support to Sun Group for opening such centres in the state.
