Dhindsa distributes grants of Rs 1 lakh to different sports, youth clubs
Finance minister Parminder Singh Dhindsa on Saturday distributed funds of Rs 1 lakh to the sports and youth clubs of 57 panchayats under the Yuva Krida and Khel Abhiyan scheme.

Finance minister Parminder Singh Dhindsa on Saturday distributed funds of Rs 1 lakh to the sports and youth clubs of 57 panchayats under the Yuva Krida and Khel Abhiyan scheme.
Addressing the gathering, Dhindsa said the state government was planning special arrangements to provide better facilities to sportspersons at the grassroots level in order to improve performances at the national and international levels.
He said the government would construct new stadia at different places to exhort the budding players to participate more in games.
"The state government will bear the expenses of education and sports of the players who give their best performance at the national-level competitions," he said.
