After receiving various complaints regarding people facing difficulty in getting Aadhaar Cards, the district administration has set up 17 centres at Suvidha Centres at sub-divisional magistrates' offices and at block-level offices in the city.
People who have not made their Aadhaar Cards yet or who want to rectify any mistake in the already-issued card can visit these centres from 9am to 5 pm except Sunday.
Additional deputy commissioner general (ADCG) Isha Kalia inaugurated one such centre at mini-secretariat on Thursday.
Kalia said, "The district administration has established these Aadhaar Card centres at sub-divisional magistrates' (SDMs) offices in Samrala, Payal, Khanna, Raikot, Jagraon and at the block-level offices in Dehlon, Doraha, Jagraon, Khanna, Machhiwara, Pakhowal, Raikot, Samrala, Sidhwan Bet, Sudhar and at block-development and panchayat office, Ludhiana 2.
She also said that people could also avail the information regarding their Aadhaar Card status from www.ldhsuwidha.com or www.ludhiana.nic.in or can contact on number 0161-431100.
