YDF chairman Dr DS Bhullar alleged that the state government was yet to release an instalment of 8% of dearness allowance (DA) due since January, 2013, and another of 11.6% of DA, due since July, 2013.

He added that the government had failed to pay the third instalment of the 2006 Pay Commission arrears till date, which was to be paid in 2010.

"Besides, government doctors, both PCMS and medical teachers, are not receiving their salaries as per the recommendations of the 2006 Pay Commission." he alleged.

"In spite of repeated appeals, the government has failed to rectify the anomalies in the salaries of its doctors, as we are getting much less than our central government counterparts," he said, adding that if the government was not willing to pay the doctors in cash, it should take steps to deposit their financial dues in their general provident fund (GPF) accounts.
