Three persons, arrested for their alleged involvement in the murder of Moga DSP Balraj Singh Gill and a woman in Ludhiana, were on Friday remanded in police custody till April 9.
Judicial magistrate Amrinder Pal Singh granted police remand after police argued that they were to recover weapons of offence, purse and watch of the slain DSP and keys of the car of the deceased woman Monica Kapila.
Gill and the woman, wife of a city-based industrialist, were found murdered at a farmhouse on Hambran road on February 1.
According to police, the accused Harvinder Singh (23), Pritipal Singh (21) and Umesh Karra (in his mid 20s) attacked them with an intention to snatch the cars but when they were counter-attacked by Gill they realised that he was a police officer and hence, killed both of them.
