"I don't know the ex-DGP but I just want to say that the officer should have taken action at that time. If he was under pressure, he has not done justice to his duty", Jaitley said while addressing a press conference along with yoga guru Baba Ramdev. "Moreover, just naming somebody is not enough, we need to give evidence also", he added.

Admitting that drugs are a major issue in Punjab, Jaitely said, "Drugs are coming from across the border and it is the Centre's prime responsibility to stop that. I can promise that when NDA government is formed, we will uproot the drug menace from the region".

Meanwhile, yoga guru Baba Ramdev, who had come to support Jaitley, said, "There is a strong wave in the country in favour of Modi and BJP and we must all ensure that the UPA government is thrown out of power".
