Police have arrested five people and recovered three revolvers and cartridges from their possession.
SSP Gurpreet Singh Bullar said that arrested accused had been identified as Arun Kumar, a resident of Paras Ram Nagar, Alok Shukla from Jogi Nagar, Vicky, a resident of Sriganganagar in Rajasthan, Bhola Singh from Bhucho and Sukhwinder Singh from Bangi Nagar.
He claimed that the department had a tip that the gang was planning to commit loot at Teona village near here. Police party that raided the place arrested all accused. A revolver 32 bore and two pistols of 315 and 12 bore have been recovered from their possession.
A Chevrolet Tavera Car and a motorcycle, used in the loot, have also been recovered.
Bhullar said that gang used to target people roaming around on roads and used to target them and had been involved in several such incidents.
Several cases have been pending against the accused.
