The trains that were cancelled included Amritsar-Chandigarh (12412), Amritsar –Howrah (13050), Amritsar –Howrah (14632), ASR-VKSP (18506), Amritsar-Ludhiana (64552), Amritsar-Hisar (54602), Kotkapura-Fazilka (74983), Fazilka-Ferozepur (74978), Ferozepur-Fazilka (74975), Kotkapura-Fazilka (74987), Fazilka – Kotkapura (74986), Fazilka-Kotkapura (74988), Ferozepur-Ludhiana (14630), Ludhiana-Ferozepur (54571), Ferozepur–Jalandhar city (74936), Jalandhar-Amritsar (74643), Ferozepur-Jalandhar (74940), Amritsar-Jalandhar (74942), Jalandhar-Ferozepur (74939), Ludhiana-Ambala Cantt (64524), Jalandhar- Jaijon Doaba station (54626) Jaijon Doaba station-Jalandhar (54626).

Besides, six trains were diverted from the scheduled routes, three were terminated before they reached their destinations and three were not allowed to run.

While no untoward incident was reported from anywhere the division, but the cancellation of trains led to great harassment of commuters.

Meanwhile, the farmers blocked the Kotkapura-Fazilka, Muktsar- Bariwala rail section and Ferozepur-Bathinda section in the noon. About 150 faremrs present on the spot.

The sections which were blocked at different places included the Phillaur-Lohian Khas, Nurmahal-Nakodar, Ferozepur-Fazilka, Ferozepur-Ludhiana, Dagru-Talwandi, Jalandhar- Amritsar and Butari-Tangra.
